Lisa began working in the health field at an early age, starting as a medical transcriptionist at fifteen years of age, and moving on to be a physical therapy aide. It was at this time that her interest in the field was initiated. Her physical background ../includes dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, and softball. After multiple knee injuries, Lisa’s interest in the field of Kinesiology deepened.
In 1995 Lisa began her study of Kinesiology at Penn State University, where she earned the H. Leonard Krause Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and student involvement. Lisa maintained Dean’s List status, while serving as an Editor for the school’s newspaper and literary magazine. She was a member of Student Government and served on many committees. Lisa also served as a tutor for Penn State’s Learning Center, helping students with Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, and Mathematics. In 1999 she transferred to West Chester University to complete her studies, while serving as a Student Athletic Trainer at Swarthmore College.
In order to broaden her spectrum of knowledge in the field of Kinesiology, Lisa will be attending the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in May 2005, where she will begin studying the practice of Massage Therapy.
Lisa Colucci is the Senior Director of Programs and Services for GO! Athletics, and has been with the company since August of 2004. Her role ../includes program and service development, business development and management, and staff development and management. Lisa also serves as an Exercise Physiologist and Athletic Trainer, training for all populations in various settings. She is excited to be a part of such a valuable team, and is looking forward to helping you ACHIEVE YOUR POTENTIAL! |
